How to check Google Page Speed Insights loading only specific plugins without affecting the public website.

You can check the performance with Google Page Speed Insights loading only some plugins, but without affecting the live site.

To do so:

Go to Freesoul Deactivate Plugins => Singles => Pages
Click on the symbol “+” relating to the page whose performance you want to check. You will see the Actions Panel as shown in the following picture
Click on the symbol

When ready, you will see the Google Page Speed Insights report.
Only the checked plugins will be active for GPSI.
Pay attention, the page will never be served by cache when you preview the GPSI report.

When the cache is enabled, you may see better performance.
Use this tool only for comparison, and to check if a certain plugin is worsening the performance.

If you want to check a blog post or a public custom post type instead of a static page, go to Singles => Posts or Single => [Post Type], and do the same as described above.

In the following example only Flying Pages, Freesoul Builder, WP Sticky Sidebar, and Yoast SEO are active when we check the GPSI preview.

You can use the GPSI preview including when your website is in maintenance or coming soon mode. In that case, uncheck the plugin that provides the maintenance or coming soon mode.
